The 1959 Eriksbergs, Gothenburg, built ore carrier SVANO is seen southbound in the Store Baelt for the Baltic Sea on 31st October 1976, it is thought on a voyage from Narvik in the north of Norway with a cargo of iron ore.

She had earlier in 1976 been employed carrying iron ore from Luleå for Koverhar in Finland but at some point in the second half of 1976 had started loading out of Narvik.

In 2016 her name was shortened to SEARCHER for the voyage to breakers at Alang where she was beached on 7.11.16
