Whenever I photograph a Sietas built vessel, I come to think of you Volker my dear old friend (and of course, in such the occasions, I think about Jens Boldt also !! );

The winds blow in the Rijeka area, I would say (that's just my rough guess), about 40% time through the year, of what is abt. 30% North winds & 10% South winds.
Vicinity of Rijeka, especially the nearby area of Velebitski kanal, is rather well known for very strong-strong North winds (officially measured 200+ km/hour, fortunately, seldom of such force, but 100+ km/hour rather often).

And now when dry season come, wind also come and sea swell 1 to 2 mtrs
