It is the privilege of the Swedish to have the most useful date notation (how apropos here, with the former swedish KUNGSHOLM). yyyy mm dd - this format allows sorting of lists by date without fuss. It does take a lot of getting used to, admittedly. In the meantime: mm dd yyyy seems silly, and its competition with dd mm yyyy is indeed the source of a lot of errors. USA, pull yourself together and put a stop to this, please! Uwe

You got appoint there Lawrence and a very valid one ,we should hold on to the day/month/year and not in the American fashion.Everything considered the Americans themselves when referring to their Independence Day (and incidentally my birthday) they call it the 4th of July celebrations and not the July 4th. celebrations. I think it is more logical to put day/month/year so as not to cause confusion. regards to all.

Just a small suggestion for all who upload a photo - please be clear about the date. For example, the date given here - 07/08-06 - means nothing. Which is the month, the day, the year? The problem happens with a date like July 4, which in the US would be 7/4/2015, but elsewhere might be 4/7/2015. Someone else reading it might think it was April 7. Please specify the month? Thank you.
