Description:

Tug JANIKA (Flag ATG) in the dry-dock at Fort de France, August 18th 2017 (with her Panamanian barge AMEERA M). Seems to be an US built tug but I couldn't find any info about her life.

Great thanks to Tonylast who gives the following informations about this tug :
Built in 1961 at Madisonville, Louisiana, by Equitable Equipment (hull number 1199) as the Bronx for the Bronx Towing Line of New York. 75.5 x 24 x 8.6; 146 gt, 73 nt; twin Caterpilar D379 12-cylinder Diesels, 1300-bhp. It was later Melanie B., D C 6, and Priscilla J. before being sold to Virgin Island owners in, I think, 2010. It is now owned by Knackbill Nedd and used to transport barges of sand between Barbuda and Antigua.
