The BC Ferries Salish-class ferry SALISH EAGLE underway in the Strait of Georgia on its way to Tsawwassen terminal outside of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
SALISH EAGLE is the second of the new three-vessel Salish-class. She was built at Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A. in Gdansk, Poland and arrived in British Columbia on March 20, 2017 after sailing from Poland via the Panama Canal. The Salish-class vessels are dual-fuelled and can run on either liquefied natural gas or ultra-low sulphur diesel. SALISH EAGLE entered service on the Tsawwassen - Southern Gulf Islands route on June 21, 2017.
