Hi Mattyboy,

that information is certainly not correct. The vessel is currently doing its winter lay up at Piraeus Main Port. Check it here: http://www.shipfriends.gr/forum/topic/18-hellas-roundup/?tab=comments#comment-242106. I just saw a recent photo of her moored there a couple of days ago, also. She will return to her routes probably during the Easter period between Crete and the Cyclades.

This problem meanwhile seems to exist a little longer, as I noticed it already in spring and summer season. Also on marinetraffic.com the ship is shown at the port of Tilbury from time to time, even if she was 100 percent certainly crossing through the Aegean Sea at these times. 😉 The strange thing is, that the problem there occurs only temporarily. Most of the time everything works fine. So at some days the vessel is „doing really large jumps“ in just a few seconds… 😜

And of course thanks a lot for your nice words. Greece and specially the cyclades are famous for their beautiful and deepblue sea, as you do certainly know. 😉

@Bob Scott: Absolutely right!

Cheers
Florian

She's certainly not and never has been the Gravesend/Tilbury ferry, as suggested by the port history misinformation. An amusing thought, though!!

Why is she in Tilbury now? Gorgeous photograph against that blue sea.
