Description:

GEPARD arrested at yard at Vlissingen. Arrived here for 1998 for conversion and renovation but the yard was not paid. Crew left the vessel in October 1999 after being paid a quarter of a million dollar salaries. Vessel remained arrested at Vlissingen, pictured here in May 2004.
Alongside the tug OTTON, imo 7401588. Former SEA NEPTUNE, in 1978 to Wysmuller Salvage as RIBUT as salvage tug in the Persian Gulf during the Iran/Iraq-wars, in 1991 ALBUQUERQUE, in 2002 OTTON. Arrived with engine problems in August 2003 at Vlissingen, arrested because of general bad status of the vessel, refused to sail on to Antwerp. Customs found 4.050 kilos cocaine on board, whole crew of ten persons each eight to ten years in prison. Vessel was bought from a demolition yard and was especially modified for drug transports.
