WELCOME TO SHIPSPOTTING.COM
Description:
One of life’s bonuses is to receive photos of something you really want.
Such was the case this morning when a friend of mine who I met as agent for MSC at Bluff, he is a Chief Officer sent through some recent shots of the ex Saxon Star, to my knowledge the last remnant of Blue Star Line still aground in Romania, now a popular tourist attraction with local tour boats, there is no intention to break her up.
Hope you enjoy them

On the stbd side of the wreck there is a huge hole. It seems that when the revolution took place in '89, they "thought" that some terrorists are hiding inside and sent some torpedoes. The deck collapsed as well...

But once again another storm in a teacup, thanks for your comment P.F. Kerr, something far more interesting.

1) the ship never had a unique 7-digit LR/IMO number
2) it did have a unique LR number 529138 (and seven-digit numbers based on these will not be issued as an IMO number to any other ships)
3) she never had a British ON 1168519, it was 168519
4) Miramar constructed 1168519 for its internal ID - we do not use these, not least becuase they are subject to change
However, in order to gain the linking advantage without losing consistency of approach, I am content to allow 5291381.

As for this being the last Blue Star ship afloat or aground, please refer to the photo, comments and links I added for "JULIA ANNA", IMO:5407655:

which show her disintegrating against the shore in Guiana. She was the former "ORWELL STAR" a short-sea vessel built in 1956.
