United Netherlands' 1952 Hamburg built AMERSKERK is seen passing Hoek van Holland, inbound for Rotterdam, on 16th June 1970 during a voyage from Yokohama to Bremen.

Later: 1972 LIBERTY MANUFACTURER

She suffered stranding damage on Point Fermin, Los, on 7.10.72 and arrived at Kaohsiung on 19.5.73 for breaking

Hi Dulko, for the long transcontinental crossings they were sometimes removed. A lot of work! What is also possible that she had to undergo her cargo gear survey and in that case it was normal to overhaul all the blocks during the sea passage.

It´s a beautiful picture, I can see thin antenne lines
but where are the heavy duty cables holding the loading gear.
