Description:

5,755 grt; 12,765 dwt; part-reeefer
Operator: DDG "Hansa", Bremen, Germany.
Built 1953 by AG "Weser", Bremen, Germany. Yard no 1274.
Main engine: seven-cylinder, two-stroke MAN K7Z70/120 of 4,670 bhp at 130 rpm. Speed 13.75 knots.
Photographed arriving Rotterdam on 27/4/1969, trimmed down by the stern so as to keep damage to her stem above the waterline. The damage was sustained when the vessel ‘collided’ with the small island of Sikkah, near Al Mukalla, Yemen.
Two other Hansa ships came to her assistance and succeeded in effecting temporary repairs and getting her off the rocks.
FREIENFELS continued in the Hansa Line fleet until 1972, when she was sold to Greek owners and renamed DYNAMIKOS.
In 1981 she changed to the Panama flag and the name INTRA TRANSPORTER.
Breakers at Jamnagar, India took her in 1984.
