The cargo ship HASSINA ran aground on April 26 on a beach in Tamatave, northeast of Madagascar. The ship has been missing or abandoned for approximately a year, so it is understood that it was anchored and probably without a crew when the accident occurred. Attempts to refloat her failed on April 29. The ship operated between Tamatave and the island of Nosy Be (Madagascar).
