Description:

Icebreaker used to keep the seaway open up to Montreal in Winter. Canada was, 40 years ago, a leader in icebreakers. Then; most of those ships were built in Quebec and Montreal. This engineering expertise was politicaly dispersed and it faded to nothing worth talking about. No canadian vessel exist that is able to patroll the supposedly canadian arctic in winter; This while others nations insure their presence with Coast Guard vessels, submarines and even commercial vessels. The arctic passage is nearing a state where it will becomes open to free business.
