1957-1985 Holst,Hamburg-Neuenfelde/217 Freighter
ELVDIEK-83, PR Johs. Bartels, Walter Bartels, D;
Caroline-85, Cia Mar Viscaya, Hon
7-4-1985 capsized and sank during bad weather ca. 2 miles south of Lizard, in pos. 49.55 N. 05.09 W., on a voyage from Antwerp to Gloucester.

When she is the CAROLINE 1957(ex ELVDIEK) the IMO nr. should be 5102889.

I think, Onno is right. It's not ARGONAUT, it's her sister ELVDIEK. Sorry!

Good morning,

Regarding the Caroline, I will give you the correct data, buildersyard, and year of built are correct.
But she is actually the ex Elvdiek
Renamed in 1983 in Caroline, Honduran flag.
7-4-1985 capsized and sank during bad weather ca. 2 miles south of Lizard, in pos. 49.55 N. 05.09 W., on a voyage from Antwerp to Gloucester.

one more nice pic!
These vessel was built by Schiffswerft HOLST in Hamburg-Neuenfelde as ARGONAUT. Later sold to Mr Badewiehn and renamed in EMIL B. Mr Badewiehn was also the owner of the ERIKA B which was the later NAUTIC W (another pic of your collection).
