Cyrano seen some minutes before running aground.

In the afternoon of Feb 28, 2020, the 'Cyrano', 4151 ts (EU-No.: 06105189), ran aground on the Rhine at river km 388,8 near Germersheim in pos. 49° 15.22' N 008° 25.21' E. The ship was loaded with 4000 tons heating oil and was enroute from Karlsruhe to Rotterdam. A faulty disposition of the cargo could have contributed to the accident according to the police. The attempt to refloat the vessel by another vessel failed. The barge could be refloated in the night of March 1. It berthed in the port of Mannheim on March 2 at 1.25 a.m.
