Launched 17 July 1941 as *Tuscarora AT 77* at Orange, TX, by the Levingston SBCo., hull no. 185, for the US Navy. Later *Tuscarora YT 341* (1942), *Tuscarora YTB 341* (1944) and *Tuscarora ATA 245* (1958). Transferred to the James River Reserve Fleet, 1961.

Sold commerial 1976, rebuilt, and renamed *Challenger* US607767: 124.7' x 30' x 16;' 196 gt, 147 nt; twin EMD 16-645 Diesels, 3950-bhp.

Renamed *Triton,* 1986. Presently in service for Puerto Rico Towing & Barge Co.. (Great Lakes Towing Co.), San Juan.

Shown July 1991 at Charlevoix, MI, USA, with the self-unloading cement barge *St. Marys Cement* while owned by Merce Transportation Co., New Orleans.
