Hmm, we share the same thought Denis, I always associated X-bows with working vessels such as support or supply vessels ,but never with luxury super yachts. But well her owners know best, after all its their choice and their money.
Keep safe and healthy.

So ironical that a drilling rig is right next to her... cause X-bow always associates for me with offshore vessels! :D

That's good Ralph, at least she will retain her classic lines, not much classics left afloat.
Thanks for the info.

Emmanuel: yes she will look virtually the same as in her good days, but underneath she will be almost completely new. See the link to the article that I posted earlier here.

Hi Ralph, the ISTROS Imo.1000423 built in 1954 was for a while in no 7 dock at Palumbo, she was virtually dismantled and left Malta literally as a hulk on a barge for completion in some other port (I forgot the name).
She was a classic, I hope that her classic lines are kept.
regards, keep safe my friend.

Clive ,I second your opinion re yachts, I am more or less inclined to favour old or even copies of the classic yachts of bygone times.

Yes indeed, Istros ticks virtually all of my boxes. I saw her once in Valetta being made ready for winter lay up. I was already aware of her but seeing her in real life was special. She's a gem. Thanks for the link.

Then the rebuilt ISTROS is definitely one for you Clive: https://www.superyachttimes.com/yacht-news/yacht-istros-restoration-report

No Emmanuel, I would not and neither would I build a yacht such as this one. You know that the likes of Marala, Atlantis II or Christina O. are more my style.

So Clive ,if you should ever have that kind of money to build a mega yacht ,would you order such a vessel as the yacht A.? I would not!

Clive , if you want a yacht looking like a submarine ,then you should look for the yacht A.

Oh yes, OLIVIA is a really lovely-looking vessel. Dare I say, a proper ship.

I like her, although I like the owner's current boat (converted Russian research vessel OLIVIA) better. But thanks for this posting Emmanuel. She left Valletta for Bar (Montenegro) so must have been handed over then.

I think that I'd like her more if she were a submarine...
