Description:

James Fisher & Sons Ltd of Barrow's 1959 Foxhol (Netherlands) built coaster POOL FISHER is seen passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth exactly fifty years ago today, on 15th May 1970.

On 6th November 1979, during a voyage from Hamburg to Runcorn with a cargo of potash, POOL FISHER sadly capsized 8nm south of St. Catherine's Light, south of the Isle of Wight, with the loss of 13 lives.
