built 1936 by Blohm & Voss in Hamburg as HORST WESSEL for the German Navy; 1946 handed over to USA and commissioned as sail training ship EAGLE of the US Coast Guard;
the photo shows the ship after the Windjammer Parade during Olympic Games 1972 in Kiel; scanned from color slide.
