1998 January: renamed "Aotearoa Chief" by CNCO.
2005: lengthened at original builder's yard: new gross tonnage 10,837, length overall 158.06 m, capacity 981 t.e.u.
2008 July: renamed "Pacific Horizon" by CNCO.
2010 April: renamed "Island Chief" by CNCO
(At some point ownership was transferred to China Navigation Co Pte Ltd., Singapore)
2008: sold for scrapping in India.
This ship should not be confused with CNCO's 1991-built fourth “Chekiang” (IMO 9003835), which bore the name from 1999 to 2005
