The steamers are also a pleasure for youngsters at the piers, as the just-posted photo of GALLIA shows:

I have seen them even hanging on the rudder as long as possible after departure - very dangerous!

On Vierwaldstätter See are five steamers in operation, in addition to SCHILLER are GALLIA, UNTERWALDEN, STADT LUZERN and URI - highlights for all ship enthusiasts. I will post photos of the last two soon.

Yes, she's very elegant. I've never been to Switzerland, so I've never seen the lake steamers.
