Description:
The Soviet Liner BALTIKA, operated by the Baltic Shipping Company of Leningrad, was photographed from Gravesend while berthed alongside Tilbury landing stage on 16th July 1972.
She was delivered to the USSR in 1940 by her builders at Amsterdam as the VYACHESLAV MOLOTOV, taking the name BALTIKA in 1957. Further photographs of her at Tilbury, together with a full history, can be seen via this weblink:

In 1986 BALTIKA was sold to Pakistan breakers and she arrived at Gadani Beach on 28th March 1987 for breaking
