Well David,it is now more or less 6 years since Gross tonnage closed down, cannot a remedy be found?, it is very confusing especially for new members.
At least members posting photos should add as much info gathered as a sort of alternative in the "description".
It helps a lot.

When grosstonnage.com (the origin of the ship id info) closed down in 2015 all our info was frozen at that point. Rather than abandon it it was decided to keep it "as is" as some members still find that useful. In this case the ship was under construction and intended Maltese registry must have been notified at that time.

So we will not be seeing this vessel in our harbours,presumably she will be transferred on the Eastern Asia tourist sea trade.
New name,but what port of registry Tony?
BTW why is "vessel identification" information showing her on the Maltese register, she is till now clearly has Bergen on her stern.

I believe Viking Sun will no longer sail for Viking Ocean Cruises, but for the joint venture China Merchants Viking Cruises. She will be renamed Zhao Shang Yi Dun.
