Hey david. the barcas service between paquetá and rio is now being made wirh the ilha grande ferry, now it takes 50 minutes which is still painfully long but not that much. the ilha grande is fully enclosed and with tinted windows. she cruises around 16-17kn. sometimes when there are too many people or too many cargo, they use the gávea that does the normal rio niterói journey. the timetable is a mess, the ferries are quite spaced out and the waiting is long. (i came there just to see the flyingcats and their state and if they we're being guarded and they are)

Welcome Artydartyyy.
A familiar place from nearly 20 years ago.
But is there still a SLOW ferry to Paquetá with enough outside space and time to photograph the ships as you pass through the anchorage etc?
