The cargo vessel SUN SEA alongside at the Canadian government's Annacis Marine Base on Annacis Island. The ship arrived in Canada in 2010 carrying Tamil migrants from Sri Lanka attempting to claim refugee status. The ship was first escorted to the military base in Esquimalt, where the migrants and crew were taken off the ship. She was then moved to Nanaimo for a short time before going to Annacis Island. She stayed there until 2019, when she was towed back to Nanaimo to be scrapped.
