COMMENT THIS PHOTO(1)
The Inner Dock was filled in during 1966/67 to accommodate the expansion of the port's ro/ro business creating two linkspans at berths 2 and 3 in the Outer Dock. The Outer Dock was renamed the Princess Alexandra Dock in 1967.
Today it's known as Ocean Village, a residential and leisure destination along with a large marina.
