Cheers Pieter. Some impressive statistics. I think at least a quarter of those 550 vessels have visited Milford Haven at some point.

Matt, in total about close to 700 LNG tankers have been built since the introduction in 1964. Roughly 120 were built in the previous century of which about 80 are still in service. None of the 550 plus ships built during this century has been reported as lost.
As far as "this specific construction" is concerned the majority seems to have been constructed following this one (membrane system). The other option is to go for spheric tanks, (the Moss design), but this is less popular. Exact figures I do not have.
