WELCOME TO SHIPSPOTTING.COM
Description:
The very large but somewhat dark officers’ bar, one deck above the dining room again spanning the full width of the forward superstructure. Note the curved forward bulkhead to the right, which features a central fireplace with a hammered copper hood. The wrought iron decorative panel (right) features a crest with the ship’s original name of Fort Grange, changed to avoid confusion with RFA Fort George. On the far bulkhead is a white panel which was a projector screen for watching films, hence the chairs facing it. I was told the fitting out of the bar was paid for by Scottish & Newcastle brewing company and the theme was, perhaps unsurprisingly, an “English country pub”.
Taken on a Motorola Razr V3, edited on an iPhone 12 to apply auto enhance.
Former name(s):
- Fort Grange (Until 2000 Jun)
