The PAOLA C, the former GOOD HOPE CASTLE departed berth 101 as depicted where she was laid up alongside her sister SOUTHAMPTON CASTLE prior to their sales to Costa Line.

I don't think that the FRANCA C, the former SOUTHAMPTON CASTLE entered dry dock before her delivery voyage to Genoa and her funnel colour's were changed to Costas whilst alongside berth 101. But I might be mistaken and that she actually did dry dock beforehand.

They were great looking ships indeed and even to this day I miss the iconic Union Castle Line colours.

The PAOLA C departed berth 101 for the number 6 Trafalgar Dry Dock in the port's Eastern Docks for an inspection as well as the adoption of the Costa Line funnel colour's.

Her dry docking period was short and it was after this that she finally departed her former home port for the last time on her delivery voyage to Genoa.

I don't have the exact date on which she finally left the port of Southampton but I remember seeing her personally in the Trafalgar Dry Dock and I have a photo of her or I did have showing her with her Costa Line funnel colour's.
