Hi Edson, this shot can not be in the sixties, but only in 1960, or the Fifties. She was built for D.K. Ludwig in 1955 by the National Bulk Carriers yard in Kure, Japan and suffered an explosion in December 1960 carrying crude oil from Mena Al Ahmadi to Philadelphia
One of Ludwig's wildest concepts, she combined a self-unloading ore carrier, with a tanker. I presume oil could only be carried in the wing tanks, otherwise the conveyor system would be permanently lubricated.
She measured 35000 GRT with a 56000 DWT capacitiy. L.o.a was 240 metres on a Pamaax beam. Truly a giant of her time.
