Lol @Bob yes I agree....re the balck smoke, there is an iconic picture of the RMS Windsor Castle leaving Cape Town with quite a puff of black smoke coming from her funnel.

The emssions from scrubbers are like those from vapers (as opposed to cigarette smokers). There's more smoke but it's allegedly "good" smoke. In the olden days, black smoke emissions were considered to add to a ship photo. .
