Main engine: ten-cylinder, two-stroke Krupp-B&W 10-74VTBF-160 of 12,500 bhp at 115 rpm. Speed: 17.5 knots. Built for Hapag – Hamburg-Amerika Linie as MUNCHEN. 1970-to Felicitas-Rickmers-Linie & Co KG (Rickmers-Linie KG as managers), renamed ETHA. 1975-renamed ETHA RICKMERS. 1986-to breakers at Shanghai, China.

I joined her in 1978 after all deck crew was sacked in Antwerp, the most interesting 15 month followed.
Small correction about her birthplace, she was built by "AG Weser" in Bremen not Bremerhaven.

Master was Gerwien/Minuth, ChOff. Giese/Könitzer, ChEng. Weingart, RadioOff. Arlt and many more memorable seamen.

So nice to see her here :-) I joined her on 21.07.1980 as 2nd mate in Hamburg. Complete german crew, 7 month later she changed to Panama register and crew was replaced by PRC crew. Only Kapt, / Ch.eng & deckofficers & eng's remained german resp european. Long time ago ......
