One of the US Navy's Allen M Sumner-class destroyers, of which 70 were built at various US yards & commissioned between 1944-45. Of these, 11 were sold to Taiwan between 1969 & 1974 with 8 of them being commissioned into the ROCN & 3 laid up for use as spare parts. They began to be decommissioned starting 1999.
