Many thanks for your help ! So as I feared it she's definitively not a tug... Anyway, if someone has any idea in which section I should relocate this picture (I don't see any buoy layers category), don't hesitate to post a comment. Until then, I move it in the "ships to be reclassified" section.

I think she was former (East) German and a near sister to the ARKONA (http://www.maritimephoto.com/collection/vessel/10055/photo/0) which is classed as a buoytender.

Do you by any change have a bowshow while I can see an onder name in welded characters.

I have other shots of her where indeed a hull moulded name at the stern and at the bow can be seen. But sadly it's almost unreadable. There seem to be written after the "M" something between K ORT or R URI. The name Palm doesn't seem to be a part of the original name.
And yes, I have myself great doubts about this vessel's category.

I have her as built in 1968 at Peene-Werft Gmbh - Wolgast as Palmer Ort. She's 148gt and i have her as being a "Bouy Layer with towing winch".
Hope this helps
