EDIT: She was delivered as a crude oil tanker in late 1974, derricks are clearly visible amidships. After the explosion in 1976, she was fitted with a new crude oil tanker forebody, which reduced her DWT carrying capacity to just below 100000 DWT, from the 123000 of the original ship. I have amended the photocategory and the ship type. (PM)
Former name(s):
- Y. Trader (Until 1995)
- Y. Mariner (Until 1991 Jun)
- Hawaiian Sun (Until 1990 Nov)
- Kriti Sun (Until 1978)

COMMENT THIS PHOTO(7)
The initial information on the cards I used on each of my ship photos to make came from contemporary LR books. I have no access those now so it's not clear whether my note that it was a bulker was a misprint by Lloyd's or miscopying by myself (most likely the latter).
Whichever, from your comments it's clear that she really was built as a tanker, and I just found a NY Times article (https://www.nytimes.com/1975/10/28/archives/five-hurt-as-greek-tanker-explodes-near-singapore.html) that begins "A Greek tanker exploded and broke into two ....." that gives further evidence of this.
I will revise my description & send my apologies to you all.
Best regards, David

I see that you did it again, so I changed it back again

I saw that you had changed my original categorisation of this ship as a bulker to crude oil tanker. However, as detailed in my "description", she was built as a bulker and was still a bulker at the time of my photo. She was converted to a tanker in 1978
