Houlder Brothers' 1958 built SHAFTESBURY was photographed arriving at Swansea, possibly direct from Esbjerg to load for South America, on Sunday 25th June 1972, probably late in the evening.

By 5th August 1972 was sailing from Buenos Aires for Talcahuano as PORTLOE.

sprang leak, abandoned by crew 3.7.78 and foundered in tow 6.7.78 on voyage from Bangkok to Lagos with rice and general cargo
