Engine Room & accommodation gutted by fire off the Azores in 1982; towed to Barry in Wales, then to Bremerhaven. Here she was cut in two at A.G. Weser, Seebeckwerke; the aft part was scrapped and the fore part joined to the aft part of “Universe Glory” in 1983; ownership transferred to K/S Skip A/S "Essi Silje" (B.J. Rudd-Pedersen as manager).
Rudd-Pedersen merged with Wilhelm Wilhelmsens Rederi A/S Oslo 1990
Sold 1992 Endeavour Navigation S.A., Panama, renamed “Aegean Mariner”
Sold 1995 for demolition at Alang, India; renamed “Anchen” for the delivery voyage
