Description:
PARKGRACHT slowly arrives in Devonport with a cargo of 50 steel piles. 17/04/2023
The steel piles (ranging from 12 to 33 metres in length and approx. 1 metre in diameter) will be used as legs in the development of Devonport’s new eastern wharf known as the “Quaylink Project”.
For reasons undisclosed, PARKGRACHT had its arrival in Devonport postponed for 13 days. Initially scheduled to arrive in Devonport on the 4th of April, the vessel had remained anchored outside the Mersey River for a week and then spent 6 days berthed at No.6 Berth in the Port of Burnie before finally arriving in Devonport on the 17th of April.
