Description:
The auxiliary motor schooner ALBATROSS (1032grt/1942) waits in the Humber off Hull to enter Victoria Dock on 29 August 1964. She had been a training ship, circled the globe doing oceanographic research in 1947-8 before being acquired by the British Board of Trade for use as a mother ship for the deep sea fishing fleet firstly as DOROTHEA from 1969 and as MIRANDA from 1970 operating out of Hull..
