Among the many VLCCs that Ceres picked up in the aftermath of the seventies tanker crisis, was the Wilhelmsen owned TIGRE, built by Akers in 1974. She is shown here, just having been renamed at the Verolme repair yard at Rozenburg. The hand-over took place in 1984.
Ceres did not seem to be happy with the ship, as in 1986 she was sold to to Norwegian interest and renamed HAPPY KARI, she was name IGRE in 1988, then HAPPY MARIANNE during the same year, and in 1989 she became NOR EXPLORER (Norman International). Three years later she was broken up in China.
