The pennant number 'PSH' 77 = Patrullero de Servicio Hidrográfico.

Built in 1996, and entered service on 30/06/1996, by Astilleros y Maestranzas de la Armada, Talcahuano, Chile.

Delivered as a unit of the 'Taitao' Class General Service Patrol Boat (PSG), as:
'PSG 77'.

In 2000, the vessel was modified, refitted, and reclassified as a Hydrographic Services Patrol Boat (PSH).
