Description:
Jugoslavenska Oceanska Plovidba of Kotor, Yugoslavia's 1963 Rijeka built BANAT arriving at Birkenhead exactly forty years ago today, on 25th June 1983 with a cargo of oilseed from Bedi Bunder in India.
She was beached at Alang on 9 January 1990 under the abbreviated name of ANA, her final voyage being from Chittagong Roads on 28 December 1989 bound for Bhavnagar, near Alang.
