A Dutch owned, German built, former lightship, converted to a schooner.

07/1910-10/1963: three masted schooner light vessel in the Flensburger Fjörde, Germany.
1963-1991, various owners and functions.
1991-present day, fitted with an auxiliary engine and in service as an expedition cruise ship.

Launched in 04/1910, and completed by 02/07/1910 by Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft, Flensburg, Germany (300)
155 g.t., as built.
(Now, 140g.t., 60 nrt. & 250 dwt.), as:
'Kalkgrund II' to 1925,
'Flensburg' to 1992, and
'Noorderlicht' since.
