Description:

Tug Friendship positioning BRB to come alongside between Maria M and Marimba (with Barge)

BRB is the only identifying name seen on the ex Canadian Coast Guard fishery patrol vessel E.P. LE QUEBECOIS.

Was build as training fishing vessel for the École des Pêches du Québec de Grande Rivière
use as this and search vessel from 1968 to 1983 sold out and take over after by CCG use as fishery patrol vessel.

Arrived at Castries under tow by tug Friendship out of Martinique. Vessel she sustained engine failure near Les Saintes where she was taken in tow.

i wonder what is her use now : house boat ?
Hope her fate will be better than the BMD (also ex-canadian) which stayed a long time in this place.

Judging by where she was placed I am assuming she was probably acquired by the gentleman who previously owned Point Alert and Point Responder. If I have to guess she will probably be repaired and used for the odd cargo runs within the islands, then eventually sold to interests in Guyana. ( Seem to be the pattern )

Yes its sad what happened to BMD, always thought she would have been put to good use dredging the harbour but instead she rusted away. Nice picture of her by the way, I always look forward to some of your old photos
