Description:
MYRTIDIOTISSA, owned by Z. & G.Halcoussis of Piraeus, had passed Portishead on 29th August 1963 during a call at Avonmouth.
Here, she is seen in the River Thames inbound for one of London's upper docks, it is thought passing Erith, on 17th November 1978. She had arrived from Piraeus to load for Dar-es-Salaam and the Seychelles - towards the end of November, she suffered a fire in a hold, delaying her departure from London until around 7th December.
EX-IOANNIS-58 (D.J.Fafalios)
MYRTIDIOTISSA was laid up at Galaxidi from 21st May 1982
Late in 1984, she was renamed TORNADO for a final loaded voyage from Volos to Hodeidah, doubtless with a cargo of bagged cement. Following discharge, she proceeded to Gadani Beach, where she was beached for scrapping on 7th March 1985.
