I recall my deck cadet years at Warsash Maritime Centre, 1997 to 2001, when I was watching all tanker shipping calling at Esso Fawley and BP Hamble from my cabin's window at the Shackleton accommodation building.

Hi Acrop, I am sorry to say that I had never heard of Warsash Maritime Centre but after 'googling' it seems that it still operating. Excuse my ignorance. You must have seen some interesting shipping from your cabin's window!!! thanks for your input. Regards Jeff.

Thanks Emerson, the Red Funnel Ferry is a good way of catching the ships at Fawley (and Hamble) also any shipping that may be arriving or departing from Southampton. Regards, Jeff
