Description:

The 1944 Henry Scarr, Hessle, built SAND DIVER (which was launched as CHANT 48) was one of several small ships active in Southampton water on 5th September 1963. Here she is seen off Fawley on 30 August 1955.

Ex - EMPIRE FARRIER - 47 RIVER OUSE - 52 BRAYWICK - 53

1953: Sold to Zinal Steamship Company Ltd., (J. Burness & Sons Ltd., managers), London, converted into a sand suction dredger by P. K. Harris & Sons Ltd., Appledore, and renamed SAND DIVER.
