Description:

One of the many calls at Avonmouth of SUNADELE was on 8th/12th September 1963, with general cargo from Port Alfred. Here, she is seen passing Portishead inbound for Avonmouth on a later call.

H.C.Stülcken Sohn (also known as Stülcken-Werft), founded at Hamburg in 1840 by Heinrich Christoph Stülcken, had in 1952 built sisterships ADELE and AMELIA for the Zurich Shipping Company of Basle. They were almost immediately taken on charter by Saguenay Terminals and renamed SUN-ADELE and SUN-AMELIA, then in 1953 became SUNADELE and SUNAMELIA.

SUNADELE reverted to ADELE in 1965 and was sold to Greece (P.G.Callimanopulos - Hellenic Lines) in 1966 to become LIVORNO as which she finally arrived Kaohsiung on 8.8.80 to be broken up
