Description:

The 1936 Fairfield, Glasgow, built coastal passenger vessel ST. TRILLO passing Avonmouth, inbound for Bristol's City Docks exactly sixty years ago today, on 13th October 1963 during a Bristol Channel cruise while on charter to P&A Campbell. She had been built as ST. SILIO for Liverpool & North Wales SS Co Ltd who renamed her ST. TRILLO in 1945. In 1963 her owners became Townsend Ferries Ltd who sold her in 1973 to N.A.D. Wait of Liverpool. She proceeded to Dublin in April 1975 for breaking under the rather ungainly name of THRILLO, still registered in Liverpool.
