Nicaraguan EL SALVADOR is seen berthed at New Orleans in November 1976.
This small cargo vessel was built 1953 by Finnboda Varv, Stockholm, for Swedish owners.
Already the same year she was sold to Nicaragua and renamed EL SALVADOR, after only 8 months under Swedish flag.

In 1979 she was transferred to Cayman Island registry (one source say Bermuda), but just a few months later the vessel was laid up at Corinto. And there she laid until October 1984, when demolition commenced by local breakers.
