Description:

British tanker ELSTREE GRANGE is here photographed in the vincinity of Philadelphia in July 1980.
She was built 1979 by Harland & Wolff Ltd, Belfast, who also built a sister vessel, named HORNBY GRANGE.
Owner were Alexander Shipping Co, which was managed by Houlder Bros. & Co. She was built with max beam for passage of the Panama Canal.

In 1984 the vessel was transferred to Shaw, Savill & Albion Ltd.
Later history:
1985: SANTA LUCIA (Liberia)
1989: SPIRIT (Singapore)
28.04.2000: Arrived at Alang, India for demolition, which commenced 09.05.2000.
